Beautiful views and easy access to the beach

Condo is comfortable, clean and as pictured and we would definitely recommend as a great value. Everything is a bit dated, but in good working order. Check in and check out were quick and smooth at the Kathy Nesbit management office across the street from the condo. This condo is in a great location for birdwatching and shelling, and for general beach fun. There are chair / umbrella rentals very close by if you don’t want to carry the provided chairs to the beach. The condo overlooks a protected wildlife area, and the proximity makes it convenient to take early morning pictures of all sorts of water birds, as well as to view the spectacular sunsets over the water. You can walk to CVS and several restaurants and a Publix grocery store is a short drive (or trolley ride) away. The tv has Netflix, Prime, Hulu and other streaming apps available plus some Comcast channels. Things to note so there are no surprises: (1) there is no wifi password provided in this condo, so be prepared to use your own data plan for your phones and other devices. (2) bring water shoes- this is a great beach for finding a great variety of shells (mostly small ones) but that also means there are a lot of shells on the beach and in the surf. You will also appreciate having the water shoes to walk across the protected wildlife/lagoon area which sometimes floods when it rains, and is always a bit muddy. (3) the “king sized bed” in the master bedroom, while very comfortable, is actually two twin mattresses on a king size frame. (4) there is only one set of keys, and you will need one of the keys to get through a gate to the beach and to get back in, so someone always has to carry that key to the beach. The front door to the apartment locks automatically when you shut it, so you will always need to be careful to have the door key with you even when you go out to the trash chute down the hall (unless someone stays in the apartment to let you back in). Recommended local businesses include: Island Girl (for art and souvenirs), South Beach, Skye’s, Fish Tale and Francesca’s restaurants. If you make the drive to Sanibel/Caltiva: 2 Islands Gallery, and the Shell Museum are worth visiting. Shannon L. from Saint Peters, MO
